  • Happy Valentines!

    It has been a long while since I have updated.  Things have been going good.  Christmas was great.  We took the first week of January and went on a cruise to Cozumel and Progresso.  Had a great time.

    We had an ice storm Jan 26...The ice storm did a lot of damage around here.  We did not have power for 7 days, slept in front of our fireplace.  We finally bought a generator after the third day, just so we could plug in our refrigerator and freezer and one lamp.  It was freezing cold in our house. Our back yard looks like a jungle...in fact all over town u still see tree limbs hanging, and or trees uprooted.  There was no school for a week, so they are making up the days that  were scheduled for teacher in service days, also they took Good Friday as a make-up day.    I am so ready for spring!

  • Summer

    Thought i would update a little.  its been so long since i have been on.  Every since i have had surgery, I just haven't taken the time to write on xanga.  Summer is almost over!   Wow where did it go?  Summer camp was fun We are on vacation for the next two weeks.  I was so ready for a break from everything.  We went to the Divisional Welcome this past Friday nite at camp. Saturday morning was Conservatory Graduation...it was reallly a nice program, but oh so long!!  From their we went on vacation.  We saw our two granchildren.  our granddaughter , Naomi,   i so CUTE.  She is one month old and has so much hair, and yes its going to be red also.  We are now visiitng my Step-Mom  will be here for a few days then head for Dallas over the wkend, to visit some really good friends of ours.

  • So Much Has Happened!

    I realized I have not updated in about two months!   So much has happened to me, that I don't know where to begin.  I have always been in good health...never get sick....not even a Cold.   So I have been taken back, by what has happened to me.  On February 29th,  I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  By the way, there is no Cancer at all in my family.  I had a Mascetomy March 18,   Outpatient of course..everything today seems to be out-patient.   I have been really having a hard time dealing with this, because I cannot understand why this happened to me, or even why God would allow this to happen to me!   Now I am in the healing process, which will take a little while.  I also had Gald Bladder Surgery last monday, but doing good from that.  I have been having a hard time dealing with the fact that I am a "Cancer" survivor, and sometimes still wonder why this had to happen to me.  I know God is and has been with me, during these days of trials.

    On another note, Stacie, our daughter, will be having our 2nd grandchild, a Baby Girl.  I'm so excited!  Her due date is June 6.  Please keep her in your prayers.

    Our Corps continues to grow and God is blessing us all the time.  We have Leaders now, that can help with all of our programs.   God is so Good!

  • Life Goes On

    Hello to all!    A lot of things have happened around here, since the last time I posted..  We had a  tornado in our area, just 15 min from where we live.   It is so devastating everyone time I drive out that way.  Even though  we were constantly doing Disaster Work 24 hrs a day, God was and is still with us, giving us the strenght to continue to do His Will.

    Our Corps continues to grow, which we give all the glory to God!  Our Sunday School is averaging 65 to 75 a week.  We are really outgrowing our classrooms, and not for sure what to do   Thats a good problem, I know.  Our youth meetings are going good.We are growing, not only in kids, but also with leaders.God is so Good!

    My family is doing good.  So far we have not come down with the "flu" that seems to be going around in our community.  School was shut down for two days.   I'm so excited that we will celebrate our second grandchild which is a Girl.  I only hope that I will be able to be their for the delivery...we live like 5 hrs from her, so who knows!   We are going to take vacation hopefully around her due date, so we can be there.    Lisa and Jesse seems to be doing good.  They had a great time on their honeymoon in Orlando.  They both are beginning to look for different jobs.  Lisa really wants to be teaching Music, so I hope things will work out for her.

  • It has been a long time since I have updated!    A lot has happened, Lisa our daughter  got married last weekend.  It was really a pretty wedding, and of course she was a beautiful bride.

    We finally had snow last week!

    Stacie, our daughter, just found out today  that she is having a baby GIRL!   I am so excited.   Her baby is due July 6th

    Our Corps contiues to do great things.  God is so Good!   Our ladies are reallly looking forward to Scrapbook Camp next month.

    I have lost 25 pounds!
